Nicotine pouches, explained
What they are
A nicotine pouch is a small white pouch containing nicotine, plant fibre, flavoring and sweetener. It contains no tobacco leaf. You place one between your upper lip and gum and leave it there; nothing is lit, inhaled or chewed, and there is nothing to spit. Pouches are sold by strength in milligrams and by flavor, and come in tins that typically hold 15 to 20 pouches.
They are an oral nicotine product for adults 21 and over. Nicotine is addictive, and that is true of pouches exactly as it is of any other nicotine product.
What we stock
| Brand | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| ZIMO Nicotine Pouches | $4.49 | The lowest-priced tin in the collection |
| ZYN Nicotine Pouches | $5.50 | The most widely recognised brand in the category |
| OEO Nicotine Pouches | $5.99 | Available in a 6mg Citrus among other options |

Strength and flavor options differ by brand and change with stock. The strength listed on the individual product page is the authority — check it there before ordering.
Choosing a strength
Pouch strengths are printed in milligrams per pouch and generally run from around 3mg at the light end to 9mg or more at the strong end. The numbers are not comparable to the percentages used on vape devices; they measure different things in different products.
Strength is also not the whole story. How quickly a pouch releases depends on its moisture level and how finely the material is milled, so two pouches with the same milligram figure can feel quite different. If you are new to a brand, start at the lower end of its range and work up rather than the reverse.
How to use one
- Place the pouch between your upper lip and gum, off to one side.
- Leave it in place. There is no need to chew it, and it should not be swallowed.
- Most people keep a pouch in for roughly 20 to 40 minutes; the tingling sensation is normal and usually settles within the first few minutes.
- Dispose of the used pouch in the bin — most tins have a lidded top compartment for exactly this.
- Use one at a time.
Flavor and dryness
Mint and citrus are the two profiles that carry best in a pouch, because the format delivers flavor slowly and steadily rather than in a burst. Drier pouches release more gradually and are less intense at the start; moister ones come on faster. Lucy Breakers takes a different approach, using a capsule you break to release the flavor when you want it.
Storage
Keep tins closed and at room temperature. Pouches dry out if a tin is left open, and a dried pouch releases much less flavor and feels harsher against the gum. Refrigerating them is unnecessary, though some people prefer mint pouches cold.

Nicotine pouch FAQ
Do nicotine pouches contain tobacco?
No. The pouches in this collection contain nicotine, plant fibre, flavoring and sweetener, with no tobacco leaf. They do contain nicotine, which is addictive.
How long do you keep a pouch in?
Most people keep one in for about 20 to 40 minutes. Manufacturers usually print a suggested time on the tin; follow that for the specific brand you are using.
What strength should I start with?
Start at the lower end of a brand's range. Milligram figures are not comparable between brands, because release rate depends on moisture and milling as much as on the stated strength.
Are pouch strengths the same as vape nicotine percentages?
No, and they cannot be converted. A vape lists nicotine as a percentage of the e-liquid; a pouch lists milligrams contained in one pouch. They are different measurements of different products.
Can you swallow the pouch or the saliva?
Do not swallow the pouch. Some saliva is unavoidable and is normal; swallowing a lot of it tends to cause hiccups or an unsettled stomach, so most people spit it out early on.
Why does my mouth tingle?
A tingling or burning sensation under the lip is normal, particularly on stronger pouches, and usually fades within a few minutes as the pouch settles. If it does not settle, take the pouch out and try a lower strength.
Do I need to be 21 to buy nicotine pouches?
Yes. Zovapo applies a 21+ requirement and third-party age verification to every order, pouches included.
You must be 21 or older to purchase. WARNING: This product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.
