Every Geek Bar Ice Flavor, Ranked by How Cold It Actually Is
Ice, Frozen, Mintz and Slush do not mean the same thing. Every cold Geek Bar flavor scored 1-5 on actual menthol intensity, from Stone Mintz down to the barely-there ones.

- The coldest Geek Bar ice flavors are Stone Mintz, Icey Mintz and the six Frozen Edition flavors.
- 27 of the 49 Pulse 15K flavors qualify as Geek Bar ice flavors at cooling 3 or higher.
- Ice means added menthol; Frozen is a separate edition at roughly double.
- Slush Geek Bar ice flavors deliver cold as texture rather than as raw menthol.
- If you only ever reach for Geek Bar ice flavors, the Ice Prince 50K ices every flavor.
The coldest Geek Bar flavors, in order: Stone Mintz and Icey Mintz, then the six Frozen Edition flavors — Frozen White Grape, Frozen Piña Colada, Frozen Watermelon, Frozen Strawberry, Frozen Cherry Apple and Frozen Blackberry Fab. All eight score 5 out of 5.
Below them, at 4 out of 5: Blue Razz Ice, Watermelon Ice, Sour Apple Ice, Cool Mint, Blue Mint, Pepper Mintz and Black Mintz.
The naming is the trap. “Ice” means a menthol layer added to a fruit flavor, around 3–4 out of 5. “Frozen” is a separate edition at roughly double that. If you want every flavor on a device to be cold, that is the Ice Prince 50K, not the Pulse.
Geek Bar ice flavors: what the cooling scale measures
Cooling in Geek Bar ice flavors does not come from temperature. It comes from compounds that trigger the cold receptors on your tongue and throat without anything actually being cold — menthol most familiarly, and in modern disposables usually a synthetic cooling agent alongside it, which produces a cleaner cold with less of menthol’s own minty taste. Geek Bar does not publish its formulations, so nothing here is a claim about specific ingredients. What the scale below measures is the effect, judged consistently across the range.
Arctic — 8 flavors
Hits the back of the throat. Can make your eyes water. Some people find it numbing after a day.
Cold — 7 flavors
Unmistakably mentholated on every exhale, but the flavor underneath still leads.
Cool — 12 flavors
A clean finish rather than a cold one. Cuts sweetness without announcing itself.
Warm — the rest
Little or no cooling. Sweetness sits forward and lingers. Covered in the full 49-flavor ranking.
Two things worth knowing before you read the Geek Bar ice flavors rankings. First, cooling fatigue is real: a Band 5 flavor that feels spectacular on day one can feel numbing by day four, which is why heavy menthol flavors get returned more than any other kind. Second, cold masks flavor. The more menthol a flavor carries, the less of the fruit you will actually taste, which is why the subtlest fruits — white grape, for example — read as the coldest of all. There is less competing for your attention.
Band 5 Geek Bar ice flavors — Arctic
In these Geek Bar ice flavors, cold is the point. The fruit or mint is structure holding the menthol up. These land at the back of the throat and can genuinely make your eyes water on a hard draw. Try one before you buy a five-pack.

The Pulse X 25K cold flavors
The Pulse X 25K runs a different set of Geek Bar ice flavors, and its cold options behave differently: the Slush edition delivers cold through a granular, frozen-drink texture rather than raw menthol, which reads colder than it scores. There is no Frozen Edition on this model, so nothing reaches Band 5.
| Flavor | Family | Cooling | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Banana Taffy Freeze | Dessert & Cream | 4/5 | Milky taffy banana with a heavy freeze layered on top. |
| Blue Razz Ice | Ice / Menthol | 4/5 | The same candy blue raspberry and hard menthol as the 15K version. |
| Watermelon Ice | Ice / Menthol | 4/5 | Candy watermelon with a clean menthol wash. |
| Sour Apple Ice | Sour | 4/5 | Tart green apple, real sour bite, heavy menthol close. |
| Cola Slush | Ice / Menthol | 4/5 | Cola syrup with the cold granular finish of a frozen drink. |
| Orange Slush | Ice / Menthol | 4/5 | Sweet orange over a frozen-drink texture. |
| Wild Cherry Slush | Ice / Menthol | 4/5 | Dark cherry syrup, cold and slightly gritty on the finish. |
| Peach Perfect Slush | Ice / Menthol | 4/5 | Syrupy peach with a granular cold finish. |
| Miami Mint | Mint | 3/5 | Spearmint-forward with a peppermint edge. Steady rather than sharp. |
| Orange Mint | Mint | 3/5 | Citrus orange over a mint base; the orange fades faster than the mint. |
| Strawberry Kiwi Ice | Ice / Menthol | 3/5 | Bright strawberry-kiwi with a moderate cool finish. |
| PepperMintz | Mint | 4/5 | Candy-cane peppermint; the cooling sits high in the nose. |
| CreamyMintz | Dessert & Cream | 3/5 | Peppermint softened with vanilla cream. The gentlest cold flavor on the model. |
Those Geek Bar ice flavors also carry the widest zero-nicotine range in the brand, and its 0% list skews heavily toward these cold flavors for a specific reason: without nicotine there is no throat hit, and menthol is the most convincing substitute. The full list is in Which Geek Bar Flavors Are Zero Nicotine?
The Pulse X2 50K cold flavors
The Pulse X2 50K — Geek Bar prints it Pulse X 2, most retailers write Pulse X2 — is the successor to the Pulse X 25K above, and its cold menu is much shorter: 18 flavors total against 40+ on the older model. What it does have is the 0.6ohm dual mesh coil, which changes how cooling reads. Menthol lands harder and cleaner on dual mesh, so the same nominal flavor sits about half a band colder here than it does on a single-mesh device.
| Flavor | Family | Cooling | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Miami Mint | Mint | Band 4 — Cold | Straight cool mint with no fruit to soften it. The coldest thing on the X2, and colder here than the same name on older Geek Bars because of the dual mesh. |
| Watermelon Ice | Fruit + Ice | Band 3 — Cool | Ripe watermelon with a clean icy exhale. The safe pick if you want cold without committing to menthol. |
| Blue Razz Ice | Berry + Ice | Band 3 — Cool | The standard blue razz profile with a cool finish. Sweeter than Watermelon Ice, slightly less cold. |
| Banana Taffy Freeze | Candy + Freeze | Band 3 — Cool | Freeze in the name, but the candy body absorbs most of it. Reads cooler than it is. |
| Grape Slush / Wild Cherry Slush | Slush | Band 2–3 | Same granular frozen-drink cold as the Pulse X Slush editions — texture rather than menthol. |
There is no Frozen Edition and no Band 5 option on the X2, so if you are chasing maximum cold, the Pulse X 25K and its wider menu is still the better hunting ground. The X2’s argument is runtime and cost: 50,000 rated puffs at $22.99 works out to about 46¢ per 1,000 against roughly 80¢ on the Pulse X 25K.
When you want every Geek Bar ice flavor on one device
If you have worked out that you only ever reach for Band 4 and 5 Geek Bar ice flavors, buying a Pulse and hoping the flavor you want is in stock is the wrong approach. The Geek Bar Ice Prince 50K exists precisely for this: every flavor in its range is a cold flavor, with no warm options at all, across 50,000 puffs. We took it apart in the Ice Prince 50K review.
| If you want… | Buy | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The widest choice of cold flavors at the lowest price | Pulse 15K — $15.99 | 27 of its 49 flavors score 3 or higher, including the whole Frozen Edition. |
| Cold with a frozen-drink texture and a real screen | Pulse X 25K — $19.99 | The Slush edition, plus the widest 0% range in the brand. |
| Every single flavor to be iced | Ice Prince 50K | No warm options exist on the device, so nothing to avoid. |
| Maximum runtime, cold or otherwise | Pulse X2 50K | 50,000 puffs and a 3D screen. Reviewed here. |
Ice vs Frozen vs Slush vs Mintz
Four words used across Geek Bar ice flavors, four genuinely different things. This trips up more buyers than any other part of the Geek Bar range.
| Word | Typical cooling | What it actually means |
|---|---|---|
| Ice | 3–4 | A menthol layer added on top of an existing fruit flavor. The fruit still leads. |
| Frozen | 5 | A separate edition at roughly double the menthol. The cold arrives at the back of the throat, not the lips. |
| Slush | 4 | Cold delivered as texture — syrupy fruit with a granular frozen-drink finish. Pulse X only. |
| Mintz | 3–5 | Mint as the subject rather than a finish. Ranges from Creamy Mintz at 3 to Stone Mintz at 5. |
The rest of the naming system behind Geek Bar ice flavors is decoded in Geek Bar Flavor Names Decoded. VapeOwls covers why the Slush line landed so well in its piece on the Slush and Jam editions.
Choosing your band
- New to menthol? Start at Band 3. Juicy Peach Ice, White Gummy Ice or Miami Mint. If it feels too mild after a week, move up one band, not three.
- Menthol gone flat? That is cooling tolerance, and it is common. Rather than jumping to Band 5, switch families for a week — a sour or a candy flavor resets your palate faster than a colder menthol does.
- Buying Band 5 for the first time? Buy one, not a bundle. Frozen White Grape and Stone Mintz have the highest “I could not finish it” rate in the range.
- Chasing throat hit rather than cold? That is a nicotine question, not a menthol one. Menthol will not replace it, and going colder to compensate usually ends in fatigue.

What is the coldest Geek Bar flavor?
Among Geek Bar ice flavors, Stone Mintz and Icey Mintz are the coldest by a small margin, followed by the six Frozen Edition flavors. Among those six, Frozen White Grape usually reads as coldest because the white grape is subtle enough that the menthol has nothing competing with it.
What is the difference between Ice and Frozen Geek Bar flavors?
Among Geek Bar ice flavors, Ice means a menthol layer added to an existing fruit flavor, scoring around 3 to 4 out of 5, with the fruit still leading. Frozen is a separate six-flavor edition at roughly double that menthol, and the cold lands at the back of the throat rather than on the lips.
Which Geek Bar flavors have no menthol?
These are the opposite of Geek Bar ice flavors. On the Pulse 15K: Blow Pop, Grape Blow Pop, Strawberry Banana, Orange Creamsicle, California Cherry and Black Cherry have essentially no cooling. The Jam edition on the Pulse X 25K is the warmest-running family Geek Bar currently makes.
What is the best Geek Bar menthol flavor?
Of the Geek Bar ice flavors, Miami Mint if you want mint itself, Blue Razz Ice if you want iced fruit, and Frozen Piña Colada if you want maximum cold with something interesting underneath. Cool Mint is the pick if you want cold with as little sweetness as possible.
Why do menthol vape flavors stop feeling cold?
Cooling tolerance is why Geek Bar ice flavors fade. The receptors that respond to menthol and synthetic cooling agents adapt with repeated exposure, so a flavor that felt bracing in week one feels mild in week three. Switching to a non-menthol family for a few days resets it faster than escalating to a colder flavor does.
Which Geek Bar has all ice flavors?
The Ice Prince 50K carries only Geek Bar ice flavors. Every flavor in its range is a cold flavor with no warm options, across 50,000 puffs. On the Pulse 15K, 27 of the 49 flavors score 3 or higher on cooling, but the rest are warm.
Are Slush flavors cold?
Yes — Slush counts among the Geek Bar ice flavors, but the cold is delivered as texture rather than as raw menthol. Slush flavors are syrupy fruit with a granular, frozen-drink finish, scoring around 4 out of 5. They are Pulse X 25K only, and there is no Frozen Edition on that model.
Is heavy menthol harsher on the throat?
Heavy menthol in Geek Bar ice flavors is different rather than harsher. Menthol produces a cold, sometimes tingling sensation that some people read as smooth and others as sharp, while the actual throat hit in a nicotine vape comes mostly from the nicotine salt. If a flavor feels harsh rather than cold, the nicotine strength is the more likely cause.
