HorizonTech 100K Review: 40mL, 100,000 Puffs and All 9 Flavors
The HorizonTech 100K is $17.99 for 40mL and a rated 100,000 puffs - about $0.18 per 1,000. Full specs, Regular vs Boost, all nine flavors at Zovapo, and who should skip it.
Short answer: the HorizonTech 100K is a $17.99 disposable rated for 100,000 puffs from a 40mL prefilled pod, run by a 0.8Ω quad mesh coil and a 1500mAh USB-C rechargeable battery at 5% (50mg) salt nicotine. The puff number is the headline, but 40mL is the number that actually decides everything — it is roughly twice what a 50K device holds, it is why this thing costs about $0.18 per 1,000 puffs instead of $0.32–$0.46, and it is also why it is the wrong device for anyone who likes changing flavors. Zovapo stocks nine flavors, five units of each, as a trial run through our Insider panel rather than a full restock.
HorizonTech 100K review: the specs, verified
Every number below is HorizonTech’s published specification. We have not run a 100,000-puff endurance test and neither has anyone else, so treat the puff rating as a ceiling and the 40mL capacity as the fact.

What 100,000 puffs actually means
Puff ratings are measured with short machine draws under laboratory conditions, not by a person vaping normally, which is why no two brands’ numbers are comparable to each other. The number that is comparable is millilitres of e-liquid, and here the HorizonTech 100K holds 40mL. For context, the American Standard 50K Kit publishes 23mL and the Geek Bar Pulse X 2 50K’s own packaging says 28mL. Forty is genuinely a step up, not a marketing step up.
If you want arithmetic rather than a claim: at 500 puffs a day, 100,000 rated puffs is roughly six months. At 1,000 puffs a day it is roughly three. Whatever your real number turns out to be, it is a long relationship with one flavor, and that matters more than the headline. We go through the same reasoning in more detail in how long a disposable vape actually lasts.
Regular vs Boost: the rating halves when you turn it up
This is the single most useful thing on the box, and most brands in this class do not print it. HorizonTech does: Regular mode is about 30W and carries the 100,000-puff rating. Boost is about 40W and is rated around 60,000. Same 40mL of liquid, 40% fewer puffs, because you are burning through it faster per draw.
So the honest way to read this device is that it is a 60,000-puff vape you can stretch to 100,000 by leaving it in Regular. If you live in Boost, budget accordingly — the cost per 1,000 puffs below goes from $0.18 to about $0.30, which puts it level with the better 50K devices rather than ahead of them.
Cost per 1,000 puffs: $0.18, and what that beats
Cost per 1,000 puffs is the only fair way to compare devices holding wildly different amounts of liquid. Prices are what we charge today.
| Device | Price | Cost per 1,000 puffs |
| HorizonTech 100K (Regular) | $17.99 | $0.18 |
| HorizonTech 100K (Boost) | $17.99 | $0.30 |
| NEXA Ultra 2 50K | $15.75 | $0.32 |
| American Standard 50K Kit | $18.99 | $0.38 |
| Geek Bar Pulse X 2 50K | $22.99 | $0.46 |
| Flum Mello 20K | $14.99 | $0.75 |
Among everything we restock, this is the cheapest puff on the shelf. Clearance devices can beat it while that stock lasts — see the best disposable vapes under $15 — but they run out and this is a standing price.
All 9 HorizonTech 100K flavors we stock
HorizonTech’s own catalog runs past thirty flavors. We brought in nine, five units each, because this is a trial run. When a flavor is gone it is gone until we decide whether to order properly.
- Blue Rancher — blue candy, the sweetest of the nine
- Triple Berry — mixed berry, no ice
- Blueberry Watermelon — the two fruits straight, light chill
- White Peach Raspberry — the most restrained fruit in the set
- Banana Slush — creamy banana over ice
- Mango Slush — ripe mango, heavy chill
- Grape Slush — candy grape, heavy chill
- Watermelon Slush — the safest pick of the four slushes
- Miami Mint — the only non-fruit, and the one cold flavor here

Four of the nine are “Slush” flavors, which in this line means fruit plus a real chill rather than a light cooling note. If menthol is your thing generally, our Miami Mint guide covers how that flavor differs across the brands that all use the name.
Build, size and the screen
It is a big device — roughly 109.5 × 56.8 × 32 mm, which is pocketable but not discreetly so. That is what 40mL and a 1500mAh cell take up, and there is no way around the physics.
The side screen shows remaining e-liquid, battery, and which mode you are in. On a small device a screen is a gimmick; on a 40mL device it is the only way to know where you stand, because you cannot judge that much liquid by eye through a window. Airflow is a stepless dial rather than fixed steps, so you can tune it rather than pick between two presets.
The word “disposable” is doing a lot of work here
A 1500mAh battery will not carry 40mL of liquid on one charge — not close. You will recharge this device many times over its life, which makes it a sealed rechargeable that happens to be thrown away at the end rather than a disposable in the old sense. That is the whole category now, and we wrote about the distinction in rechargeable vs non-rechargeable disposables.
Who should buy the HorizonTech 100K — and who should skip it
Buy it if you have one flavor you stay on, you are tired of reordering, and cost per puff is what you optimize for. On those three counts nothing else we stock comes close.
Skip it if you rotate flavors. Forty millilitres is a commitment measured in months, and running two or three of these at once to get variety defeats the price advantage. If that is you, a 20K–35K device is the better shape — the NEXA Ultra II 50K vs NEXA Pix 35K comparison is a good place to start. Also skip it if you want something that disappears in a pocket.
How this device ended up on our shelf
The HorizonTech 100K is in front of the Zovapo Insider panel right now as round LAB-2026-001. It cleared our own checks first — compliance, build quality, landed cost — and what the panel reports over two weeks of real use decides whether it earns a permanent place in the catalog. The manufacturer gets those findings either way.
Which is why the nine-flavor, five-unit run is deliberate rather than a supply problem: we do not commit to a full restock on a device until people who paid for one have lived with it. Insiders pay $11.99 on this round, and the reviews that show up on the product page were written by them.
Nicotine is an addictive chemical and no vaping product is risk-free. The FDA maintains the current list of authorized ENDS products, and disposables of this class are not on it — that is true of essentially the entire high-puff shelf, not this device in particular.

Frequently asked questions
Does the HorizonTech 100K really last 100,000 puffs?
100,000 is the manufacturer’s maximum rating in Regular mode, measured with short machine draws. Boost mode is rated around 60,000 from the same 40mL. Treat 100,000 as a ceiling and the 40mL pod capacity as the honest measure of how much is in there.
How much is the HorizonTech 100K at Zovapo?
$17.99 per device, which works out to $0.18 per 1,000 rated puffs. Zovapo Insiders pay $11.99 during the current Product Lab round, and an Insider who checks out with just this device in the cart ships free – the $75 minimum does not apply to a Product Lab test order. For everyone else, free standard shipping applies over $75.
How many flavors does the HorizonTech 100K come in?
HorizonTech’s full line runs past thirty. Zovapo stocks nine of them — Blue Rancher, Triple Berry, Blueberry Watermelon, White Peach Raspberry, Banana Slush, Mango Slush, Grape Slush, Watermelon Slush and Miami Mint — five units of each.
Is the HorizonTech 100K rechargeable?
Yes, a 1500mAh internal battery with USB Type-C. A 40mL pod will always outlast a single charge, so you will recharge it repeatedly over the device’s life.
What is the difference between Regular and Boost mode?
Regular runs around 30W and carries the 100,000-puff rating. Boost runs around 40W and is rated near 60,000. Boost hits harder and warmer; it also moves your cost per 1,000 puffs from about $0.18 to about $0.30.
What is a quad mesh coil?
Four mesh heating elements on a single 0.8Ω coil instead of one. The extra mesh area spreads heat over a wider surface, which is what lets a 40mL device keep flavor consistent deep into the pod instead of thinning out after the first few thousand puffs.
How long will one HorizonTech 100K last me?
As arithmetic on the manufacturer’s rating: about six months at 500 puffs a day, about three months at 1,000 puffs a day. Your own draw length and mode will move that number in either direction.
How much nicotine is in it?
5% by volume, which is 50mg per mL, across a 40mL pod. That is a substantial amount of nicotine in one sealed device, which is why it is sold to adults 21 and over only.
What does the screen show?
Remaining e-liquid, battery level and current power mode. That readout matters more here than on a small device because there is no practical way to eyeball how much of 40mL is left.
Can I refill the HorizonTech 100K?
No. The pod is prefilled and sealed, and the device is not designed to be opened or refilled. When the liquid is gone the device is finished.
Is the HorizonTech 100K worth it compared to a 50K?
On cost per puff, clearly — $0.18 against $0.32 to $0.46 for the 50K devices we stock. On everything else it depends on whether you want to be on one flavor for months. If you rotate flavors, a 50K or smaller is the better buy even though it costs more per puff.
